Monster High Werecat Twin Sisters Doll

At first we only had only one daughter of the Werecat, the Monster High Toralei doll. But now we have 2 more additions, the Werecat twin sisters, Meowlody or Purrsephone. They seem to be “purrfectly” identical except that Meowlody has white hair and Purrsephone has black hair. Both of them have a tuft of hair shaded with cat-like stripes. Meowlody has it hanging on her left side while for Purrsephone, it is on her right side, which makes her looks like a mirror reflection of her twin.

The doll version is very rare to find.

Their relationship with Toralei

These loyal twins consider Toralei as their third sister and their leader.

Pet

They used to have a canary for pet. It used to sing and wake them up every morning. But ever since Purrsephone developed an allergy for birds, she persudaded her twin to give the pet away.

Monster High Venus McFlytrap Doll

With Monster High characters, there has been parental concerns raising all over that their kids are getting too much exposure to being stylish. But when Venus gets released into a doll, I’m sure parents would be thankful. Their kids will stop thrashing and gardening will no longer be boring for them. Like their Venus McFlytrap doll, they might start convincing friends to switch off fans and lights.

About Venus McFlytrap

She is the daughter of the Plant Monster. The very name Venus McFlytrap suggests the monster are aliens from Venus. They are carnivorous plants that use their hypnotic powers to bring humans under their control. But Venus instead uses that inherited power of hers to persuade ghouls to save the earth.

Monster High Venus McFlytrap doll has won a huge fan base even before her release. She is expected to hit stores in August, 2012.

She has a greenish complexion, and has vine branches wrapped around her hands and legs. She has a really long hair with streaks of pink and green. I don’t know why her head is partially shaven.

She seems to a principled ghoul for all her likes and dislikes revolve around her mission of saving the earth. She feeds on sunshine and fresh water. That said, her best friends are Lagoona Blue and Gil webber.

Monster High Rochelle Goyle Doll

While we kept our fingers crossed for the scary Scarah Screams to be released soon, Mattel suddenly released a new comer. It is the Monster High Rochelle Goyle Doll. Rochelle is the daughter of Gargoyles. She comes from the city of love, Paris. Her stylish looks have a French inspiration.

She is protective about her friends and that gets her in problems.
She is sometimes shy but always stylish.

Rochelle’s likes and dislikes

She loves to sculpt and her favorite subject is obviously Architecture.
She hates swimming and that suggests we will never have a Gloom Beach Style for Rochelle Doll. On a funny note, she describes how she swims like this, “I sink like the stone”.

She writes that her best friends are the beautiful Ghoulia Yelps and the robotic Rebecca Steam.
She would love to get dressed in gray and be fed with hard candies.

If you are buying Monster High Draculaura Roadster now, you can save $7 at Amazon. Many other dolls like Monster High Nefera de Nile Doll, Sweet 1600 Draculaura Doll and Cleo’s Vanity Accessory, have come down to the $20 range from their $30 range.

C.A. Cupid Doll has become a hard-find nowadays, thanks to Mattel’s purposeful restriction in releasing this doll. This has made it possible only for collectors to sell this doll. Monster High Howleen Doll Review

For a long time, Monster High Fans thought that Howleen Doll was never going to be released. But finally, the twin sisters- Clawdeen and Howleen came out, well packed in a gift set.

Who is Howleen?

Howleen is the youngest sister of the Werewolf family, succeeding Clawdeen and the Clawd Wolf. She is too small for any relationships and can be found with her pet Hedgehog, Cushion.

Howleen’s Nature

We know enough about Clawdeen, but not Howleen. Howleen is like the typical youngest sibling in all our families who tries to outshine her elders and grab a limelight for herself. She likes to be independent, but in looks, she is still a pup. The doll is much smaller than other Monster High Dolls.

Monster High Nefera de Nile Doll Review and Dressing Tips

Nefera de Nile was not a much-awaited doll like Operetta, but it is in much demand nowadays. Like mentioned somewhere else in this blog, the doll reminds me of the Egyptian Queen, Cleopatra and her unsolved mysteries.

The doll is now selling hot in Amazon. You get the doll, pet Scarab Beetle Azura, diary, doll stand, brush, and accessory.

Nefera de Nile Doll Clothes

Nefera doll is taller than normal Monster High Dolls. So other dolls’ dresses may be short for Nefera. But you can always get creative with the Queen’s clothes. It is better to bring her trademark blue, somewhere in her dress to retain the Nile feel. When found some custom-made dresses at Etsy, I felt they could easily be done with very basic sewing knowledge, instead of spending money to buy them. VIP clothes might fit Nefera, but they are big for other Monster High Dolls.

Nira wrote on monsterhighdolls.com that she tried LIV clothes and Clawd’s pants on Nefera doll and that they fitted perfectly. Here is how the doll looked like.

Nefera de Nile Doll Dress Up Ideas

I could find Nefera Doll being dressed up in so many poses in Flickr. I have compiled all of them into a single picture so that you can use these ideas when you dress up your Nefera. Nefera is very apt for the peacock costume. The one that stole my heart is the second picture. Hope it steals Mattel’s heart too, to be officially released as the doll’s dress.

Monster High Car Review

Why should boys have all the fun?! Now your daughters can have fun driving their Monster High cars. After a long wait Mattel released a mobile accessory for the doll- a durable and glamorous Roadster. I thought it would be helpful if you know these points before buying the car.

1. The roadster is a pink and black convertible, attractive enough to be a show piece when your girl is not using it. Most girls today have become crazy about the pink and black zebra bedding and this would be an apt accessory to match it.

2. One cannot open the car’s door and that was disappointing in the beginning. But open-able doors possess the threat of choking kids who swallow them by mistake. So the sturdier, the better.

3. The car is full and full plastic and has very little stickers.

4. I won’t consider it completely educational for children, but I felt it would cultivate the seat-belt culture in girls when they see Draculaura wearing stylish seat belt while driving.

5. The wheels are of good quality and they glide easily on any surface. The steering is also turn-able.

6. The car is a present for Draculaura on her 1600^th birthday and they make great birthday presents for girls who already possess Draculaura doll.

Mattel’s freaky and fabulous Monster High fashion dolls appeared on the toy scene in 2009 and have become a popular favorite with the tween set, who love this line’s creative take on monster and horror stories and movies. With descriptions like “scary cute” and “scream team”, my girls just love the doll characters and their fun stories and pets. The Monster High products have now grown to include accessories, clothing, book bags, party items, and books as well as fun costumes and wigs. If your youngsters love team Monster High, there are lots of great gifts and fun purchases available.

The Monster High dolls are relatives or offspring of famous monsters. They are hip, cute, and well-dressed with great names and fun fashion clothing packs and accessories. They each have their own story, fashion look and cute pet. You can collect Frankie Stein, Draculaura, and Clawdeen Wolf as well as Cleo de Nile, Lagoona Blue, and Ghoulie Yelps. Draculaura is my personal favorite because of her bright pink and black clothes. There are male characters on the Monster High team as well. They include Deuce Gorgon, Jackson Jekyll and his friend Holt Hyde, as well as Claud Wolf and “Slow Moe” Deadovitch. My girls have collected all the ladies and several of the guys as well and enjoy playing dress-up with them.

Accessories also include some that are battery operated. Icoffin is a hand-held device that plays games. The Monster High DVR is black and bold pink and requires two AA batteries. It flips open so kids can film themselves. It has a preview screen and a built-in microphone and can connect to your computer if the kids want to download their pictures. It even has some editing features built in. Another special product is the Disco Party Karaoke with lights that flash and strobe. It can be connected to a television to display the words to songs while in use. Rounding out the accessories are the Fearbook Journal, a metal lunchbox embossed with the Freaky Fab design on it, and the Sweet 1600 Draculaura Roadster, which is Monster High’s version of Barbie’s pink convertible. Our whole family loves the Light Up Message Board which we use all the time to post family messages and important dates. When the board is lit up, the messages can be set to flash or glow. It is magnetic so it hangs on our refrigerator. It is easy to erase and comes with a marker included in the box.

Monster High Clothes

There are dress-up and children’s Monster High clothes from which to select. The dress-up clothes include one-size-fits-all character skirts that come with their own hanger attached. There is a Draculaura sequin skirt and a Frankie Stein plaid skirt featuring a lace overlay. There is a pink pettiskirt with black fishnet incorporating the Skullette symbol on it. Two shirt shrugs are sold, one to match Draculaura and the other to match Frankie Stein. These shrugs are also one-size-fits-all. Great Monster High character costumes are available in child sizes small, medium, and large. Offered by Rubie’s Costumer Company, they are available in the characters of Cleo de Nile, Frankie Stein, Draculaura, Clawdeen Wolf, and Lagoona Blue. Rubie’s also offers wigs to match each of these characters’ costume. Each costume has multiple clothing items. For example, the Draculaura costume worn by my youngest last Halloween includes a shirt with an attached vest as well as a skirt with attached leggings. It was easy to put on and comfortable to wear.

Girls who wear size six through size sixteen can show their team spirit wearing the “I Love Monster High” t-shirt. It is black with its graphics and pictures done in pink, purple and white. This shirt is 100% cotton. You can also make your own Monster High shirts with the T-Shirt Design Set, and this set also makes a great birthday gift for a young lady. It includes fabric markers, stencil designs, gems and studs plus their setting tools, and a design guide as well as instructions. It is suitable for ages eight and up.

I know from personal experience how much fun my daughters had making their shirts from this kit. They both get tucked in each night wearing their two piece pajama sets with Clawdeen, Frankie and Draculaura pictured on the tops. The set comes in sizes eight through 16 and is 100% polyester. Finally, the clothing line offers freaky leg and freaky arm warmers for ages six and up.

Monster High beds for the character dolls are fun and include some surprises. The Frankie Stein bed doubles as a jewelry box and a mirror for a young girl’s bedroom. Draculaura’s bed is actually a coffin shape that doubles as a jewelry box. The Fangtastic Storage trunks come in purple and pink and provide storage for lightweight items. Several Monster High book bags are sold. One is a sturdy, well-made zippered bag by Private Label with a large interior and mesh side pockets. They also make a duffel bag. Accessory Innovations offers both a Team Monster backpack and a black and pink pack with Skullette decorating it. Best Monster High Dolls for 2012 Review

The end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012 saw a number of important Monster High Doll releases by Mattel. From the early Sweet 1600, Skull Shores Series to the new character Nefera de Nile, all are in high demand at stores that people are turning to online stores for buying them. Among the new monster high dolls for 2012, 3 dolls have broken the record for the highest craze and I thought it would be useful if I review the three of them.

Monster High Operetta Doll Review

Children always love new Monster High characters better than different styles of the existing characters. In that way, I understand why Monster High Operetta Doll is selling hot. It is new, differently styled and pretty!

Who is Operetta?

Operetta is the daughter of Eric, the phantom of Opera.

How the doll looks

The doll’s hair color is a creative choice- Blood red and retro styled. Actually most parts of her dress are retro themed, her tight Capri, the puff in her white coat and even her single long dice dangle earrings. On the whole she looks like a “Spider Girl” ! There are spider webs on her dress, guitar and even in her belt. The tatoo on her left hand looks perfect for her costume. Operetta’s skin color is soft lavender, while she has more of purple- the color of Phantoms in her dress.

Operetta’s likes

She has a flair for music and sings better than every student in Monster High. She also likes to be independent. She does only what she likes, unmindful of whom it affects or benefits.

Her dislikes

She hates when someone orders her what she should do. She dislikes imperfection.

Monster High Nefera de Nile Doll Review

Who is Nefera?

Nefera de Nile is the daughter of The mysterious Mummy and the elder sister of Cleo de Nile. She bears much resemblance to her little sister.

How the doll looks in real?

Since Nefera is 2 inches taller than normal Monster High dolls, every part of Nefera is more womanly than others. That implies that the dresses of normal Monster High dolls won’t fit her. Nefera’s hair is light blue resembling the waters of the Nile, with strands of black and golden hair here and there. Her hair is tied into a pony with a single braid which looks really pretty.

How I feel about Nefera

I feel that Nefera is totally a unique doll from Mattel, with every part meticulously detailed. She has the reputation of being the “World’s famous Super Model’ and that is so true. The doll stand is a bit shaky and except that, Nefera is perfect in all ways. She reminds me of the Egyptian Beauty Queen Cleopatra! I din’t put this doll for sale so long as I couldn’t find a place where they sell this doll for a nominal price. Now the price has come down and you can buy the doll for the cheapest price here!

Monster High Sweet 1600 C. A. Cupid Doll Review

If you are looking for a good doll for Valentine’s Day Gift, then it should definitely be Monster High Cupid Doll. She is by far one of the Cutie Pies of Monster High.

Who is C.A. Cupid?

C.A. Cupid is the daughter of The Cupid- The God of Love. While her dad was wasting time aiming arrows at those in love, the daughter seems to be helping those in Monster High to solve their relationship problems through her radio show.

What I feel about this doll

Of course she will make a best Valentine’s Day Gift. She is new, popular and above all, she is very pretty. Her hair is all set and so you don’t have to worry about it becoming a mess. Her hair is braided to form a love symbol crown which is unique for this doll. Of all, I liked her dress very much. They are stiff and don’t require maintenance. She can impress people beyond age. I have a friend who is 28 and loves to keep the doll on her night table. She is very rare to find. I could neither find this doll at my local stores, nor could I resist having this doll. So I decided to buy her for $45. But now, the prices have come down.

Dolls fall in the category of those which are cheap to be given as gifts. But when it comes to popular dolls like Barbie or Monster High, kids would love to get them as gifts, but you may wonder if they will fit in your budget when buying many. Don’t worry! This is the place where I write about very cheap Monster High Dolls and tips to buy them!

Well if you want to know the cheapest Monster High Doll, then it would be Dawn of the Dance Cleo de Nile. You can get the complete set for around $14-15. But if you want to know what new Monster High Dolls you can get for the same amount, here are they.

For those who don’t know, Monster High Skull Shores Dolls was a new series of dolls introduced by Mattel recently. Skull Shores Ghoulia Yelps Doll can be purchased at Amazon for $15. For those who are really interested in Skull Shores Dolls, Skull Shores Lagoona Blue and Skull Shores Abbey Bominable also rank in the top 10 cheap Monster High Dolls 2012.

If there is an entire series which is very cheap, it should be Monster High Classroom. This is the only series in which all dolls are below $18. So if you are planning to surprise your child with an entire collection of dolls, then you can get this cheap.

Monster High Draculaura Doll is everyone’s favorite. Gloom Beach and Dead Tired Draculaura Doll is by far the cheapest of all Draculaura dolls. By the way, next to Classroom Series, Gloom Beach line of dolls is also cheap except for the ever-rare-to-find Clawdeen doll.

Of all Monster High Dolls, Frankie Stein Doll is the cheapest, whatever style you maybe buying. Be it Classrooms, Dead Tired or Gloom Beach she comes for less when compared to her friends. So if your child loves Frankie Stein, consider yourself lucky!

Jackson Jekyll might not be everyone’s craze. But Gloom Beach Jackson Jekyll is the cheapest of all boy Monster High Dolls.

How to buy cheap Monster High Dolls from Amazon

Amazon has 2 types of sellers. The ones who are fulfilled by Amazon for whom Amazon will ship the products to the customers and the others who aren’t fulfilled by Amazon. The second type of sellers sell their products for a comparatively cheaper price. I have purchased from both types and found nothing big of a difference between the two.
